Summary edit

Description Maj. Donald McHone (right), a nurse with the Ohio Army National Guard, observes alongside Col. Silvia Silvestre (left), a pediatrician with the Angolan Armed Forces, in the pediatrics clinic in the village of Vale do Paraiso during the PAMBALA 2017, a medical exercise, on Dec. 12, 2017, in Bengo Province, Angola. The purpose of the engagement for the Ohio National Guard is to give personnel the opportunity to share best practices, strengthen medical treatment processes, establish new relationships with members of the Angolan Armed Forces and to nurture their existing 11-year partnership with Serbia, through the National Guard State Partnership Program.
