English: Old Factory in Arklow One of many former factories in a state of disrepair. I think this may be part of the Kynoch War Munitions factory that produced weapons in Arklow during World War 1
Edit: The factory may not be part of a munitions factory, but rather as a Gypsum factory "I'm almost certain it was factory that produced gypsum plasterboard. It certainly has no connection with the Kynoch Munitions Factory apart from being located on part of the original site. That factory closed after WWI when the operation was moved to South Africa. Over time nearly all the buildings were demolished and if memory serves the only surviving remains until recently was a water tower." - Shane |
