English: Old Joe's Cider stall, Science Museum, Wroughton These fine fellows are laughing with relief when I re-assured them that I have no connection with HM Revenue and Customs. There was also a shared camaraderie in that I was wearing a hat as silly as theirs. They were aware that 'Deisel' is slightly misspelled but claimed the reason was drinking too much of the stuff before doing the signwriting. It is 8.2% abv so the excuse seems entirely plausible. Apart from various ciders with similar properties to rocket fuel, Old Joe's other stock-in-trade is a selection of the most awful puns. One is visible in this image. Others include 'Suicider' and 'Old Ed Spinner'. |
