English: Old Railway Bridge and Car Park The car park is for the Greenfield Valley Heritage Park.
The old railway bridge crosses the A548. The single track railway it carried used to run from the mainline at Holywell Junction to Holywell until 1954 for passengers and 1957 for freight. The line, little more than a mile long, had an average gradient of 1 in 27 and was one of the steepest lines in Britain. |
