Description The 6936 Centennial diesel engine in the foreground was built in 1969 to replace the turbine engines like the one in the back. Todate, 6936 is the most powerful diesel engine ever made (6,600 hb) and 18 was one of the third generation GTEL engines making it one of the most powerful engines of any kind producing 8,500 hp.
