English: Old school buildings, Sunk Island, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. Bulmer's History and Directory of East Yorkshire (1892) gives the following description: "The school with master's residence attached, was erected in 1857, for the accommodation of 100 children, and there are a little over the half of that number in average attendance. The Crown subscribes £60 yearly towards its support." The buildings are now being converted into private residences. |
