English: Old shops in Barter Street Barter Street, formerly called Silver Street, is a narrow L-shaped street running from Bloomsbury Way round to Southampton Place (via a passage).
This old-fashioned row of shops has been preserved in its original form although they are now largely offices. In the 1920's Number 16 housed The Salamander Bookshop, run by the photographer's father. |
