DescriptionOn the Prowl (2061456060).jpg |
I encountered this cat while our group was visiting a church and its precincts on Lake Tana in northern Ethiopia. We had just left a stunning ancient church and were making our way to another part of the compound when I spied this puss. As you might guess from the photo, she was so intent on her hunt that she gave no indication of having heard or seen me. Not long after I took this photo, she pounced and was off in another direction. Only then did I realize the rest of the group was gathered around the treasury to see the priests display priceless processional crosses and illuminated manuscripts hundreds of years old. Well, I have my priorities. |
