To the President of the Ontario Agricultural College: Sir,—At your request I submit this first Report of the Nature Studydepartment of the Macdonald Institute. The report will deal with the pro-gress of the department from its inception to the end of 1904; with theclasses which received instruction; with the courses of instruction, and withthe plans which the late Dr. Muldrew, Dean of the Institute, had in mindfor carrying out the wisheis of the generous founder, Sir William Macdonald.
