Nederlands: Plaquette in het voormalige stationsgebouw aan de het Stationsplein 1, 2411 E H te Bodegraven. Tekst is: 1940 - 1945 Ter nagedachtenis aan den gevallene Sipke van den Veen en daaronder een versiering van vleugels. Sipke van der Veen 1903 Kolummerland (Friesland) 1944 Gelsenkirchen (Duitsland), getrouwd, geen kinderen. Van der Veen woonde ook in Zwammerdam en Waarder. In Waarder werkte hij als spoorwegarbeider en woonde aan het Oosteinde in een een huisje van zijn werkgever. In de oorlog kwam hij in Duitsland terecht, daar werkte hij ook bij de spoorwegen.
