Description
Nederlands: Vanmiddag heeft Zijne Majesteit de Koning Museum de Lakenhal officieel geopend door een ontbrekende sleutel in ontvangst te nemen uit handen van drie leerlingen van basisschool de Arcade in Roomburg. Fien Hendrikse (11), Donna Klein (10) en Emma Nastase (11), allen uit groep 7, wonnen de ontwerpwedstrijd die het museum had uitgeschreven voor de openingshandeling.

Na een welkomswoord door achtereenvolgens museumdirecteur Meta Knol en burgemeester Henri Lenferink werd de sleutel op zijn plek gezet en gingen de confetti kanonnen af. Daarna kreeg de Koning een rondleiding door het museum. Hij bekeek daarbij onder meer het Laatste Oordeel van Lucas van Leyden, het Nieuw Leids Laken en het educatie-atelier van De Lakenhal. De bijeenkomst werd muzikaal ondersteund door K&G.

Morgen, donderdag 20 juni, gaat Museum de Lakenhal om 10.00 uur weer open voor het publiek. Tijdens de openingsvierdaagse die duurt tot en met zondag mag iedereen gratis naar binnen.
