The patient made a good recovery.The line of incision is seen in the figure. The head, neck, and tro-chanter major were isolated, and turned out of the wound, by twistingthe limb over the opposite thigh. The bone was separated by acommon saw. Fig. 3. Congenital Malformation of the Hand. Thefingers were separated by the knife, and the skin of the palmar sur-face made to unite with that on the dorsal by means of stitches. Fig. 2 shows the appearance of the hand after the cure. To thesecases, the dressing of thin silk and solution of gun cotton (seePlate IX. Fig. 6) is well adapted. Fig. 4.
