| Description |
English: Bay mud reflects the orange sky, sparkling and textured, complementing the San Francisco skyline. This mud is the South Sailing Basin of the Berkeley Marina, and the low tide makes it easy to see just how heavily silted it is now. The building on the right, just beyond the mud, is the now-closed Hs Lordships restaurant.
The tide was extremely low, -1.2 feet, during this January's New Moon King Tides. The sun was 9.9 degrees below the horizon, about 51 minutes after sunset, during Nautical Twilight. Seen from a spur of the San Francisco Bay Trail, in McLaughlin Eastshore State Park, managed by East Bay Regional Park District. Berkeley, California. |
