Description
English: "Cong Killers: Ordnancemen fuse bombs on a Marine Phantom, one of eight from VMFA-542 and 323 [Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 542 and Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 323] that caught a Viet Cong battalion in the open south of the demilitarized zone March 3. The ‘Tiger’ and the ‘Death Rattler’ jets, attacking in flights of two, accounted for 70 confirmed kills (official USMC photo by Sergeant J. M. Abreu)."
