English: Colour plate showing uniforms and insignia of the Sturmabteilung (SA), the stormtroopers and original paramilitary wing of the National Socialist German Workers' Party (German: Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, NSDAP) from 1920/21 until the fall of Nazi Germany in 1945:
  • Head-dresses: Kepi (Schaftmütze) with brown leather chin strap, buttons and metal eagle. The colour on the Kepi displayed which Gruppen (division) the wearer belonged to; side caps (garrison overseas caps, Lagermützen)
  • gorget of the SA regiment Feldherrnhalle (an "army" formation, similar to the Waffen-SS, expanded from regimental size in 1940 to a fully-fledged armored corps (Panzerkorps Feldherrnhalle) in 1945).; SA coronet gorget (breast-schild for the SA-Kornett); aiguillette (Achselschnur)

  • Sleeve badges, with Tyr rune for SA leaders passed Reichs-Führerschule, "Lebensrune or "life rune"" for medical personnel, etc.)
