Deutsch: Baabe liegt im Südosten der Insel Rügen zwischen Sellin und Göhren auf der Halbinsel Mönchgut. Kilometerlange Strände sind sozusagen die Visitenkarte des Ostseebades. Hervorzuheben ist die Ostsee-Promenade zwischen Baabe und Sellin. Auch sehenswert: der kleine aber feine Kurpark. Urkundlich erwähnt wurde Baabe zum ersten Mal im Jahre 1252. 1913 wurde ein großes "Herren-, Damen- und Familienbad" eröffnet. Von 1920 bis 1927 entstand die große, den heutigen Ort prägende Hauptstraße, die zur Ostsee führt. Hier kann man sie bewundern, die renovierten Häuser aus der guten alten "Bäderzeit". |
