Post heeft hier denhoofdingang werkelijk mo-numentaal opgelost, en,zooals hij den opgang alseene vrije overdekte trapvóór het gebouw heeft ge-plaatst, is dit onze karak-tervolste Raadhuisingangmet -puie. Afb. N°. 335 geeft denplattegrond, afb. N°. 336den opstand. De dubbele bordestrapopgaande, komt men in deGroote Hal, de Rechtszaal,binnen hare muren 14.80bij 22.30 M., eene Hal, tervolle hoogte der beide bo- venverdiepingen, het voor-naamste gedeelte van hetgebouw, Vestibule, Anti-chambre, Recht- en feest-zaal tevens. In die Hal met haarpijlers en bogen van grijzebergsteen, ligt achter desteenen trap naar de om-gaande Galerij op de boven-verdieping, waarop aldaaralle vertrekken uitkomen.De gevels zijn streng en,met uitzondering van hetmiddengedeelte van denvóórgevel, wel wat heelvlak behandeld; op den mas-sieven onderbouw rusten
