Now it is clear from this prophecy of the king of the norththat his centuries-long hold on the historic capital will indeedbe broken before the end, and that his seat of government, orhis palace, will be removed in his closing days. This seatis, in fact, referred to as the tabernacles of his palace, aphrase more appropriate to a transient, unsettled existencethan to the permanent occupancy of a seat of power. Theprophecy indicates one move of the king of the north whichbrings the final crisis in his affairs: He shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between theseas in the glorious holy mountain. Jerusalem is the holy mountain of Scripture. Zech.8: 3. After more than a thousand years in Moslem hands, thesacred city of the Bible history has been delivered.
