English: Thanks to Kevin Scrivens (see comment below) it looks like this is St Giles Fair, Oxford. Also, it is "almost certainly" Francis Bailey's Switchback ride, and to the left is not a fairground organs as I thought, but a tube shooter.
Original description: A delightful shot with what appears to be a carousel and/or some sort of train type ride (you can see 'carriages' on slopes to either side). Lots of people all having fun. Any clues when and where? I suspect from the outfits this could be as early as 1890s. Could it be St Giles Fair, Oxford?
