Summary edit

Description
English: Face of clock on the east side of Carfax tower, Oxford. The stone frame was designed by Sir TG Jackson and built 1896–98. John Taylor & Co of Leicester cast the bells in 1898. Gent & Co of Leicester replaced the mechanical clock with an electric one in 1938–39. The two quarter jacks are copies of 16th-century originals now held in the Museum of Oxford.
