English: Oxford Station (north end), with Down express and Up freight trains. View northward, towards Banbury, Worcester etc.; ex-GWR West Midlands main lines. The Up Class F empties, headed by '2884' 2-8-0 No. 2887 (built 3/38) is crossing the canal bridge on the Up Through line while at the Down Platform line is 4-6-0 No. 7031 'Cromwell's Castle' (built 6/50, withdrawn 7/63) waits to leave for Worcester on the 13.15 Paddington - Hereford. Between the two trains can be seen the Shed building of Oxford Locomotive Depot. |
