Description A P-21/P-22 SS-N-2c Styx SSM from the Soviet-built Tarantul I class missile corvette USNS HIDDENSEE (185NS9201). This Soviet-developed missile first entered operational service in 1973. It uses a solid fuel booster for the launch/acceleration phase and a liquid fuel turbojet sustainer motor for the cruise phase. The 21-foot-long missile weighs 5,570 pounds and has an 1,100-pound warhead. It has a 45 nautical mile range and uses an active radar-infrared homing system.
