Description A U.S. Navy Lockheed P-3 Orion of the Naval Air Test Center at NAS Patuxent River, Maryland (USA), during in-flight refueling tests in 1979. The tanker aircraft is a U.S. Air Force Boeing KC-135A Stratotanker, which used the USAF "boom" refueling system. The U.S. Navy always used (and uses) the "probe-and-drouge" system.
