Das Winterhilfswerk des Deutschen Volkes (WHW) war in der Zeit des Nationalsozialismus eine Stiftung öffentlichen Rechts mit Sitz in Berlin, die Sach- und Geldspenden sammelte und damit bedürftige „Volksgenossen“ entweder unmittelbar oder über Nebenorganisationen der „Nationalsozialistischen Volkswohlfahrt“ (NSV) unterstützte.
English: "Help victims. Fight hunger and cold." Poster by Ludwig Hohlwein for the Winterhilfswerk ("Winter Relief of the German People") 1934–35, an annual drive by the National Socialist People's Welfare (German: Nationalsozialistische Volkswohlfahrt) to help finance charitable work. Its slogan was "None shall starve or freeze". It ran from 1933 to 1945 during the months of October through March and was designed to provide food, clothing, coal and other items to less fortunate Germans in Nazi Germany during the inclement months.
