Summary edit

Description The sights and sounds of the aircraft that fought for our freedom between 1939 and 1945 still bring an emotional tear to the eyes of vets who served with them. The big warbrids invoke passion an enthusiasm in aviators of all ages. Air power proved essential to the Allies victory in WWII. No Wings would be complete without the inclusion of the Kittyhawk. At the height of WWII the RNZAF operated nearly 300 P40 Kittyhawks of various marks (<a href="https://www.wings.org.nz/aircraft" rel="noreferrer nofollow">www.wings.org.nz/aircraft</a>)
