Description A Martin PBM Mariner flying boat of No. 41 Squadron RAAF seen from another aircraft at 2.700 metres while flying from Cairns, Australia, to Port Moresby, New Guinea. The type, used as long-range patrol bombers by the United States Navy, was flown and maintained by members of of No. 41 (Transport Sea) Squadron RAAF based at Cairns.
