Inv 233; GRAFTOMBE van Lucas MUNNICH , +1562, 1600 ; 125 cm; x 208 cm x IOO cm; in de krypte, ten oosten van pijlercomplex r.; Een eerste grafmonument, vermoedelijk door Jan De Heere, dat in; de kapel van Sint-Aubertus, XIV, zou opgericht zijn, was nog niet; geheel voltooid (de vier beelden van cellebroeders uit zwarte toetssteen,; die de sarkofaag moesten ondersteunen waren nog niet opgesteld); wanneer het in 1566 werd beschadigd. Gerestaureerd in opdracht van Viglius werd het opnieuw vernield in 1578. In 1600; werd een nieuwe graftombe opgericht in opdracht van het kapittel.; Ingevolge de wederuitrusting van de kapel door bisschop Triest; werd de tombe, die onder de scheidingsboog tussen kapel XIV en; XV stond, naar de krypte overgebracht, volgens kerkrekening dd.; 1637 (dus niet ,reeds in 1600, zoals L. van Biesbroeck meent). Het; gebeente, dat in een kistje ter plaatse was gebleven, werd ontdekt; op 16 juni 1778, wanneer het praalgraf van Mgr. M. A. van der Noot; daar werd opgericht, en overgebracht naar de tombe.; Rechthoekige bakstenen tombe op geprofileerde plint; op de voorkant; zijn drie ellipsvormige wapenkartouches ingemetseld : in het; midden, van abt MUNNICHm,e t kromstaf en priaal ; heraldisch rechts,; van de SINT-BAAFSHEERLIJKHEID, met kromstaf; links, in een kartouche; met een andere omlijsting, van het KAPITTEL : feniks au naturel,; kromstaf met priaal en bander01 : GOD DOET MEER.
