Deutsch: Tübingen. Badeanstalt von Julius Haller in der Gartenstraße. Sie befand sich im Garten seines Wohnhauses, das weiter östlich (rechts) stand und deshalb auf dem Foto nicht sichtbar ist. Das Foto entstand kurz nach der Eröffnung der Anstalt am 1. Juni 1868. Die Badeanstalt war mit einem beheizten Kessel ausgestattet (deshalb der Schornstein) und konnte ganzjährig genutzt werden. Weiter hinten steht das Wohnhaus des Architekten Karl Marcell Heigelin (1798–1833), das als erstes Haus am Fuße des Österbergs (heute Gartenstraße 11 und 13/1) 1826 entstand. Es wurde in der damals propagierten Pisébauart (gestampfter Lehmbauweise) ausgeführt. Das Nebengebäude rechts diente Heigelin als seine private Architekturschule. Der Hang ist von Weinbergen bedeckt. Das Grundstück der Badeanstalt wurde 1898 von Hallers Kindern an den Verein alter Tübinger Schwaben verkauft. |
