Description
English: Fixtures and furnishings from Paddock-Lang house, a.k.a. Algernon S. Paddock house, formerly at 1401 N. 10th Street in Beatrice, Nebraska. Items were photographed on display at the Gage County Historical Society Museum in Beatrice. Going left from the portrait of Paddock in the upper right are a gas lamp and a speaking tube from the house. Below the portrait is a cherrywood parlor cabinet; to its left is a chair owned by the Paddock family and subsequently acquired by Emil Lang Grocery in payment of a bill by Paddock's estate.
