Padre Manuel Juvenal Pita Ferreira (Câmara de Lobos, 16 abr. 1912; Funchal, 9 out. 1963). Filho de Francisco Ferreira e de Filomena Celeste Pita Ferreira, seguiu a vida eclesiástica, tendo sido ordenado sacerdote a 25 ago. 1935. Foi nomeado a 29 set. 1935 capelão da Sé Catedral, escrivão do Juízo Eclesiástico e professor do Seminário, e a 5 ago. 1936, secretário interino da Câmara Eclesiástica. Desempenhou, entretanto, as funções de capelão da Capela de Nossa Senhora da Conceição e do Asilo da Mendicidade, em 1938 e tornou-se, coadjutor da Ribeira Brava, em 1940, da freguesia de São Vicente, passando em 1941 a pároco do Porto Santo e em 1945, de São Gonçalo. Exerceu também o cargo de membro da comissão do Museu de Arte Sacra da Diocese do Funchal, deixando vasta obra de investigação na revista Das Artes e da História da Madeira e no Jornal da Madeira, onde publicou vários trabalhos.
