English: Palazzo Senatorio in the Piazza del Campidoglio in Roma, between the Palazzo dei Conservatori and the Palazzo Nuovo. 1981 replica of the Marco Aurelio's statue (circa 165 CE) stands in the centre, the Palazzo dei conservatori to the right, and the Palazzo Nuovo to the left. Piazza creators: Michelangelo circa 1536; Michelangelo Buonarroti 1536 - 1546; various architects up to 17th century; paving completed in 1940 following Michelangelo's design. Palazzo Senatorio creators: bell tower 1578 and 1582 by Martin Longhi the Elder (died 1591); facade by Giacomo della Porta (died 1602) and Girolamo Rainaldi (died 1655). Equestrian Statue of Marcus Aurelius creator: unknown, created circa 165 CE. Palazzo Nuovo: finished in 1654 following Michelangelo's design.
