This 70 million-year-old palm fossil grew along the shoreline of the Western Interior Seaway and is evidence of the warm climate of the Cretaceous Period, when North America was closer to the equator.

Stratigraphy: unspecified (but likely from the Laramie Formation), Maastrichtian Stage, upper Upper Cretaceous, ~70 Ma
