I am publishing a new biographical Wiki article on the subject in the picture, John T. Melick, Jr. He is a fairly well-known (in his genre) pianist and bandleader. He is one of two remaining Big Band leaders left alive. The other, Ray Anthony, is inactive. This picture is a cropped version of a photo that was taken of the Jimmy Palmer Orchestra by an unknown member of the Hollywood Palladium publicity team. It has been in his scrapbook for almost 60 years. He provided it for use here.
