Čeština: Doc. MUDr. Jan Jesenský (5. března 1904, Praha – 24. října 1942, Koncentrační tábor Mauthausen) byl docentem lékařské fakulty University Karlovy v Praze a bratrem šermíře, lékaře a odbojáře MUDr. Jiřího Jesenského (1905–1942). Oba bratři doc. MUDr. Jan Jesenský a MUDr. Jiří Jesenský byli bratranci novinářky, spisovatelky a překladatelky Mileny Jesenské (1896–1944). Oba se stali stomatology a společně se během Protektorátu Čechy a Morava zapojili aktivně do protinacistického odboje. Jan a Jiří Jesenští byli vzdálenými pokrevně příbuznými potomky lékaře Jána Jesenského (Jana Jessenia) (1566–1621). Strýcem doc. MUDr. Jana Jesenského byl profesor stomatologie a čelistní chirurg Jan Jesenský (1870–1947), který stál během 20. a 30. let 20. století v čele stomatologické zubní kliniky na Karlově univerzitě v Praze. Pamětní deska v centru Prahy na Starém Městě na adrese: Skořepka 355/2 připomíná účastníky protinacistického odboje za 2. světové války: doc. MUDr. Jana Jesenského a jeho manželku MUDr. Alžbětu Jesenskou.
English: Assoc. MUDr. Jan Jesenský (March 5, 1904, Prague - October 24, 1942, Mauthausen Concentration Camp) was an associate professor at the Medical Faculty of Charles University in Prague and the brother of a swordsman, doctor and resistance fighter MUDr. Jiří Jesenský (1905–1942). Both brothers doc. MUDr. Jan Jesenský and MUDr. Jiří Jesenský were cousins of the journalist, writer and translator Milena Jesenská (1896–1944). Both became dentists and together during the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia actively engaged in anti-Nazi resistance. Jan and Jiří Jesenský were distant descendants of the doctor Ján Jesenský (Jan Jessenius) (1566–1621). Uncle of doc. MUDr. Jan Jesenský was Professor of Dentistry and Jaw Surgeon Jan Jesenský (1870–1947), who during the 1920s and 1930s was the head of the Dental Clinic at Charles University in Prague, Czechoslovakia.
