Description	Pampa Indians, from "Picturesque illustrations of Buenos Ayres and Monte Video, consisting of twenty-four views: accompanied with descriptions of the scenery, and of the costumes, manners, &c., of the inhabitants of those cities and their environs". Engraving by Emeric Vidal (1843), based on a sketch made between 1816 and 1819. It shows two Pampas Indians visiting Buenos Aires. The two individuals pose at the door of a store in the Indian market of the city where ponchos, leather clothing, and rhea feathers were traded for acohol, mate, sugar, foodstuff, and metal tools.
