Description

Mosque at Pandua (c. 1300AD) The bari masjid a specimen of the typical brick style of bengal is a long low building, measuring 7041M by 12.80M having three aisles, with 21door openings in front and three on the sides. Its roof has 63 small domes over brick arches resting on stone pillars of hindu design. A canopied platrorm is an attractive feature of the mosque.

পাণ্ডুয়ার মসজিদ (আনুমানিক খ্রীষ্টীয় ১৩০০ শতক) বাংলার বিশিষ্ট ইষ্টকশৈলীর নিদর্শন বড়ী মসজিদ ৭০.৪১ মিটার দীর্ঘ এবং ১২.৮০ মিটার প্রস্থ বিশিষ্ট একটি দীর্ঘ নীচু ইমারত যাতে তিনটি বারান্দা এবং সামনে ২১টি ও পাশে ৩ টি দরজা আছে । এর ছাদে হিন্দু নকশাযুক্ত পাথরের স্তম্ভের উপরে ইষ্টকনির্মিত খিলানের ৬৩টি গম্বুজ আছে । ছত্রশোভিত বেদী এই মসজিদটির একটি আকর্ষনীয় অঙ্গ ।
