Summary edit

Description
English: The Panocrats are a subculture from Germany. The movement, which had about 2.500 members in Germany, Austria and Switzerland in the mid 1990ies derived from the punk subculture but is less about provocation and more about a living a philosophy of freedom, rejection of authorities, direct democracy and structured anarchy, described in the book "Panokratie" of Tobi Blubb. The symbols of the Panocrats are a upward flash pierced star and 14 hole rangers with white and red laces. The Panocrats see themselves in the tradition of the "Edelweispiraten", a punk-like subculture of the 1930 in Germany, which bravely fought the Nazis. Despite their origin, panocrats do not want to be seen as left or right, but as an independent policy direction beyond the left-right division.
