Français : Vue de Chauvigny (86), 7 000 hab., 25 km à l'est de la préfecture départementale Poitiers, sur la route de Châteauroux. Vue depuis cité médiévale/ville haute, vers château baronnial.
La présence de la Vienne, voie de communication naturelle, a permis le rayonnement de la localité, de même que son essor industriel. On aperçoit ainsi, sur la droite de l'image, une cheminée d'usine vestige d'une ancienne fabrique de porcelaines, la maison Apilco-Deshoulières, ayant employé jusqu'à 600 ouvriers. Activité transférée dans une zone industrielle périphérique au cours des années 1960. |
