Photograph of a panoramic view of Bunker Hill (downtown Los Angeles) showing Hill Street between 2nd Street and 3rd Street west from City Hall Tower, ca.1890-1900. The buildings are almost entirely residential with the exception of the church as seen from the rear at left. A road cuts across the foreground, while homes can be seen throughout and on the hill on the far side of the road. Most of the homes are two-stories tall or taller. Trees are interspersed amongst the buildings.
