English: Paraffin storage cabinet with lid open This cabinet was where the paraffin was stored to fill the station oil lamps,signal and ground signal lamps,and crossing gate lamps. An oil lamp filling can was placed on the tray under the spout and the oblong handle at the top was pumped up a down until the can was full.Any spillage from the can would return to the storage tank through the small holes in the tray. |
