Description
English: Located on the former ULAP site between the Berlin Hauptbahnhof, erected five years ago, and an place of 36000 square meters, destined to hold the future german home office, this historical building stand at the brink of destruction.
Deutsch: Dieses denkmalgeschützte Fachwerkhaus, das seit 1986 als Restaurant "Paris-Moskau" genutzt wird, liegt auf dem ehemaligen ULAP-Gelände zwischen den Neubaugebieten des Berliner Hauptbahnhofs und dem zukünftigen Innenministerium, einem Grundstück von 36000 qm Fläche. Bis zum Frühjahr 2010 war hier eine wild bewachsenen Grünfläche und ein Parkplatz für Reisebusse.

Die Mauerreste im Vordergrund wurden bei Aufräumarbeiten zur Vorbereitung der Bauarbeiten für das Innenministerium freigelegt und für den Abtransport zusammengeräumt.

Das Baudenkmal steht am nordöstlichen Rand des Baugeländes und ist von den Bauarbeiten unmittelbar betroffen. Die beiden Terassen und eine Kegelbahn, die in den 1920er Jahren auf Kellerniveau angebaut wurde, sind inzwischen abgerissen. Das Haus ist im Vergleich zum umliegenden Gelände erhöht, da an der Straße Alt-Moabit liegt, die hier vor dem Bau des Universum Landes-Ausstellungs-Parks (ULAP), über die Bahngleise zum Lehrter Güterbahnhof führte.

Im Bereich der Anschüttung rechts des zaunes befand sich früher die Westterasse und der Stelle des weißen Containers die ehemalige Kegelbahn.
