Français : L'horloge monumentale de l'Hôtel de Ville de Paris. Cette horloge remplace celle construite en 1780 par Jean-Baptiste Lepaute et ses neveux, horloge détruite dans l'incendie de 1871. Les statues qui l'encadrent représentent, à gauche L'Instruction et à droite Le Travail (Ernest Hiolle), à l'extérieur La Marne et La Seine (Aimé Millet), au-dessus La Ville de Paris (Jean Gautherin), celles couchés sur le fronton figurent La Vigilance et La Prudence (Charles Gauthier). Cf. André Flament, Les Grandes Heures de Paris. L'Hôtel de Ville et la place de Grève. Calmann-Lévy, Paris 1966. Poids 1,3 tonnes. Sa restauration, en 2001, a nécessité 6 mois.
