Summary edit
DescriptionPark Wall and the valley of Thornhope Beck - geograph.org.uk - 322569.jpg |
English: Park Wall and the valley of Thornhope Beck Looking down from Park Wall Edge. The Park Wall is part of the impressive perimeter wall, 15 Km long (now partly replaced by a fence) which encircles Wolsingham Park Moor. The Moor (this side of the wall in this photo) was for many centuries an extra-parochial territory which formed part of the hunting grounds of the Prince-Bishops of Durham. |
