Armed shrubs, 2-3 m tall; Leaves bipinnate, stipules spinescent, rachis green ribbon like, leaflets often early deciduous; Flowers yellow, in axillary racemes. pedicels long, bract small, calyx tube short, lobes membranous, subequal; petals 5 spreading with short broad claws, odd petal with red spots., stamens 10 free, anthers uniform, ovary shortly stalked, many ovuled, Pods linear, beaked, finally dehiscent,Seeds edible.
