Paul Andreas Kaald (kaptein Kaald) var en av de mest vellykkede norske kaperkapteinene under Napoleonskrigene. Han var flere ganger på tokt fra 1808 til 1814, og satt fengslet i Edinburgh i to år. Hans tokt med skipet Anna Bruun i 1813 gjorde ham til en meget rik mann. Fra utstillingen i anledning Trondhjems 900-årsjubileum i 1897. Paul Andreas Kaald was one of the most successful Norwegian privateers during the Napoleonic Wars. He was active on several ships between 1808-1814 and was imprisoned in Edinburgh for two years. In 1813 he collected several prizes with the ship Anna Bruun, making him a wealthy man. |
