English: Portrait of Marie de Bretagne d'Avaugour (1610-1657), wife of Hercule de Rohan, Duke of Montbazon (1568-1654)
Français : "Hans Boeckh donne ce portrait à Henri Toutin car il se rapproche par son style et sa technique de celui de Charles Ier (Henri Toutin, Rijksmuseum). Par rapprochement avec une peinture anonyme du musée de Versailles et surtout avec une gravure légendée de Jean Leblond qui est dans le même sens que cette œuvre, l'auteur reconnaît le portrait de Marie de Bretagne ou d'Avaugour, duchesse de Montbazon (1610-1657). Elle semble avoir ici entre vingt-cinq et trente ans, ce qui situe l'ieuvre autour de 1636. Elle était la fille de Claude d'Avaugour, comte de Vertus et de son épouse Catherine de Fouquet, elle avait épousé le 5 mars 1628, Hercule de Rohan, prince de Guéméné, comte de Rochefort, duc de Montbazon (1568-1654) de quante-deux ans son aîné et veuf depuis peu (La collection des miniatures émaillées du Louvre : nouvelles identifications. Première partie : 1633-1644, La Revue des Musées de France, La Revue du Louvre, 2018, n° 3, p. 41-47, fig. 1, p. 42)." [1]
