Description

Entrée du pavillon du Bangladesh

Pour la première fois, à Venise, le Bangladesh présente en 2011 des artistes dans le cadre de la Biennale d'arts visuels. Il l'a fait avec simplicité et sans beaucoup de moyens mais une grande force se dégage des oeuvres exposées.

Les artistes présents sont tous inspirés par les grandes questions qui se posent dans leur pays, un des plus pauvres du monde. Loin de l'art pour l'art, ils donnent aux oeuvres une crédibilité et une profondeur qui manquent à beaucoup d'autres participations nationales. La presse a d'ailleurs salué leur présence et a été plutôt élogieuse à leur égard.
