Description
Slovenščina: Na vrhu hriba Pečina (308 m) je bila v prvi svetovni vojni opazovalnica, kjer je bil nameščen žaromet. Zaradi strateške lege te vzpetine so jo imenovali tudi oko Krasa. Opazovalnica je bila z umetno izkopanim rovom povezana z jamo Pečinka, ki je naravnega izvora, Jama Pečinka je služila kot zavetišče za vojake. Najprej je bila v posesti avstroogrske vojske. V deveti soški bitki, novembra 1916, so jo zasedle italijanske enote, ki so jo obvladovale do preboja v dvanajsti soški bitki, oktobra 1917. Jama je bila opremljena s pogradi za vojake in kabinami za častnike. Danes je jama Pečinka urejena za obiskovalce

Italiano: Durante la Grande Guerra in cima al monte Pečina (308 m) si trovava un punto di osservazione dotato di un proiettore di luce. Per la sua posizione strategica questa altura venne denominata occhio del Carso. Tramite una galleria artificiale il punto di osservazione era collegato con la grotta Pečinka, che è di origine naturale La grotta Pečinka fungeva da rifugio per i soldati. Dapprima ne prese possesso l'esercito austro-ungarico. Nella nona battaglia isontina, nel novembre I916, venne occupata dalle truppe italiane che la mantennero sino allo sfondamento nella dodicesima battaglia isontina, nell'ottobre I917. La grotta era attrezzata con tavolacci per i soldati alloggi per gli ufficiali. Oggi la e con grotta Pečinka è attrezzata per le visite.

English: On the top of Pečina hill (308 m) there was an observation post in World War I, where a searchlight was installed Due to its strategic position the hill was also named the Eye of the Kras. The observation post was connected to the natural Pečinka Cave by means of an artificial tunnel. The Pečinka Cave served as a shelter for soldiers. It was first in the possession of the Austro-Hungarian Army. In November 1916, during the Ninth Isonzo Battle, it was occupied by Italian troops who kept control over it until the breakthrough in the Twelfth Isonzo Batle in October I9I7. The cave was equipped with bunks for soldiers and cabins for officers. The Pečinka cave is arranged for visitors nowadays.

Deutsch: Auf der Spitze des Hügels Pečina (308 m) befand sich während des Ersten Weltkrieges ein Beobachtungsposten an dem ein Scheinwerfer angebracht gewesen war. Aufgrund der strategischen Lage dieser Anhöhe, wurde sie auch das Auge des Karts genannt. Der Beobachtungsposten war mit einem künstlich angelegten Gang mit der Pečinka Hohle, welche natürlichen Ursprungs war, verbunden gewesen. Die Pečinka Hohle diente als Unterkunft für die Soldaten. Vorerst war sie in Besitz der österreichisch-ungarischen Armee gewesen. In der neunten Isonzoschlacht, im November 1916, wurde sie von italienischen Einheiten besetzt, und verblieb somit bis zur zwölften Isonzoschlacht, die im Oktober 19r7 stattfand, in deren Besitz. Die Hohle war mit Etagenbetten für Soldaten und Kabinen für Offiziere ausgestattet. Heute ist die Pečinka Hohle fur Gäste zugänglich.
