| Description | I wound up putting mine in the fridge instead of water batch canning (this was still while I was suffering from Canning Terror before I turned the corner this fall). It turns out that might be a good thing as I I learned from Brook Hurst Stephens of LearnToPreserve.com during our jam judging (on.fb.me/TEuQdE) that I had WAY too much headspace going on. Also - you can see the dark dots of the over-caramelized pears. Despite these flaws, it was delicious and again - made correctly! - recommended as a great simple project for gifts. |
