Description
English: The U.S. Navy Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard had its own railroad with all kinds and sizes of locomotives. Here is a new Davenport diesel locomotive (No. 11) about to pick up a string of cars loaded with new boats for delivery to fleet vessels in the yard, circa in the early 1940s. The U.S. Navy operated a narrow gauge railroad at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii (USA), from 1911 to 1972.
